MTB supply all Bare and Moisture Barrier Metal Jacketing systems (Aluminum & Stainless Steel) with following standards:
- Aluminum: ASTM C1729 (Aluminum Jacketing Material Standard), ASTM B209M (Aluminum standard for chemical and mechanical properties), other standards are available upon request.
- Stainless Steel: Stainless steel Jacketing is manufactured from SS304 and SS 316 prime grade Stainless Steels. These Alloy comply with ASTM A-240.
Bare Cladding and Metal Jacketing is available in wide range of thickness (from 0.40 mm to 1.20 mm). We strongly recommend use of Moisture Barrier in all the Jacketing. The Interior of Aluminum Jacketing is lined with a 3mil thick co-extruded Surlyn and Polyethylene moisture barrier. The film is laminated to the Aluminum Sheet/Coils by a process of heat and pressure. The exterior of Polysurlyn Aluminum Jacketing is a bare mill finish. Polysurlyn Moisture Barrier provides an excellent resistance to moisture and has excellent abrasion resistance during installation.
ALUMINIUM JACKETING ROLLS:
MBT’s ALUMINIUM ROLL JACKETING WITH POLYSURLYN MOISTURE BARRIER IS MANUFACTURED FROM ALLOY A3003 AND A3105 SERIES OF ALUMINIUM, CONFIRMING TO ASTM B209 STANDARDS. THE INTERIOR OF THIS ALUMINIUM ROLL IS LINED WITH A 3 MIL THICK CO-EXTRUDED SURLYN AND POLYETHEYLENE MOISTURE BARRIER. THE FILM IS LAMINITED TO THE ALUMINIUM SHEET BY A PROCESS OF HEAT AND PRESSURE. THE EXTERIOR OF POLYSURLYN ALUMINIUM JACKETING IS BARE MILL FINISH.
THE PROPERTIES OF THESE ALUMINIUM ALLOYS PROVIDE THE STRENGTH REQUIRED TO RESIST IN-SERVICE ABUSE BUT CAN BE EASILY FABRICATED AND INSTALLED. ALUMINIUM HAS AN EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO CORROSION, WHICH REDUCES COST THROUGH LONG SERVICE, WITHOUT MAINTENANCE OR PAINTING. ALUMINUM ROLL JACKETING IS AVAILABLE IN SMOOTH, STUCCO EMBOSSED AND 3/16” CORRUGATED (CROSS-CRIMPED) FINISHES AND IN 0.016”, 0.020”, 0.024” AND 0.032” THICKNESS.
